Harvest Hope Project - We're Baaack!

Look out Harvest Hope, we are coming back! On Saturday, March 27th from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the Yes We Will Volunteers will be making boxes and filling them with food that will later be distributed to the area's needy.

This is a big project, so we will be calling on other people in addition to Yes We Will volunteers. Two things to be mindful of: 1. There is a new minimum age requirement. No one under the age of 16 years will be allowed to volunteer. 2. No open toed shoes.

If you want to volunteer for this project, please let me know as soon as possible. mpowerkm@hotmail.com

First Baptist Homeless Volunteer Project

On Saturday, February 27th, we will join with volunteers from First Baptist Church to feed the homeless. Every fourth Saturday, they host a cookout to provide warm meals to our community's less fortunate.

We will arrive at 9:45 AM and we will finish around 11:30 AM. For this volunteer opportunity, we will only need 6 volunteers, so hurry up and let me know if you want in on this project. mpowerkm@hotmail.com

Monthly Dues

Each member of the Yes We Will Volunteers is asked to pay monthly dues of $5.00. This is totally voluntary. If you cannot pay these dues, don't let that keep you from participating in our volunteer projects.

Notice the button in the top left-hand corner of the blog? That is one way to pay your dues. For other ways, email me at mpowerkm@hotmail.com.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Volunteer Project

On Monday, January 18, we will help feed the homeless at the Martin Luther King Center. We will start at 7:00 AM and this project will last until about 11:00 AM. You do not have to be present during this entire time. Feel free to sign up in half-hour increments. If you can volunteer for this project and you have not already contacted me, please email me at mpowerkm@hotmail.com

Dues

What Are The Dues For?

We will use the dues for three purposes:
1. Cash reserves for donations to community service partners

2. Caring Fund - Greeting cards or flowers for member birthdays, illnesses, condolences, etc.

3. Emergency Fund - Temporary assistance to members for loss of job or illness

This is a prototype of our logo that we will put on our polo shirts and on our letterhead. What do you think?
